Hellooo! I’ve got some exciting news, well, I think it’s exciting! White Elephant has just made its debut in eBook and physical format! In addition to this news, Flash Fiction 40+1: New Mexican Bread Aisle is now available in paperback! On top of this, I just received my first royalty payment. I finally sold enough books in 6 months to earn a royalty! Below you will be able to see the big bucks that I made!

WHITE ELEPHANT

I am pleased to announce that White Elephant is available in eBook and in paperback! There are over 120 writings. There are some short stories, poems, haiku, observations, writings, and some images. I’ve started the eBook off at $0.99 and the physical copy at the really low price of $4.39. Available @ Amazon.com : White Elephant now!

The eBook had an extensive amount of editing to make it an attractive read, and on top of that, a regular table of contents was added to supersede the menu one (because the menu one appears to have some type of a cap of around 50 on it).

Flash Fiction 40+1: New Mexican Bread Aisle

I know there have been some of you fabulous readers who have asked for a physical copy of it, and some of you have even been persistent about it, which is truly an amazing feeling, but now the wait is over! I might have been “slacking” when it came to getting this publication to paperback, in fact I produced White Elephant during that time–but I wanted to make sure that my readers had the very best experience, and I just wanted to make sure that I felt it was ready. I have decided to make the starting price at the insanely low price of $3.79!

Available @ Amazon.com : Flash Fiction 40+1: New Mexican Bread Aisle now! or here if paperback isn’t displaying on the other link.

After having been in the “game” for about six months I have finally moved enough volume to have earned a royalty, and still I’m thankful for it, and I still have the best readers any author could have. I’m going to go find some homeless people and buy them some food. Fuck it, can’t take it with you when you’re “gone,” right?

Love,

Volatalistic Phil

Flash Fiction 40+1: New Mexican Bread Aisle

Tentatively, this is the front cover to Flash Fiction 40+1: New Mexican Bread Aisle. I am hoping to have it released in one week, two at the most. I am hopeful about it and I hope that my readers will enjoy the new book. The story is composed of 40 flash fiction short stories, +1 short story weighing in at about 1,700 words.

FF 40+1: NMBA

From the back cover:

New Mexican Bread Aisle #1 is the first book in an ongoing Flash Fiction 40+1 book series of short stories. None of the stories contained in this book are longer than 600 words in length, presenting a challenge to the art to still tell a story and be tactful about it. The only exception to this length of the stories contained is the featured +1 story that is longer in length, weighing in at approximately 1,700 words.

The stories contained inside of this book cover several different topics such as: Love, Relationships, Paranormal, Science Fiction, some Taboo subjects, Spirituality, Death and more! Some of these stories will get straight to the point, while others will leave you thinking about or analyzing them for further meaning and understanding. Will you be able to see the hidden messages? Can you spot character references? What meaning(s) will you decipher?

If you are familiar with Volatalistic Phil’s writing style then you are in store for a real treat. In this book you will get to experience 41 new stories from the mind that brought you My Mind’s Abyss, a fiction story about the life of an alcoholic seeking redemption through sobriety, and the anticipated, soon-to-be released sequel.

What is flash fiction and why would I want to read it? That is an excellent question. In the time it has taken you to pick up, look at this book, read the front and back cover, and momentarily browse it—you could have finished a flash fiction story. Flash fiction is typically less than 1,000 words in length. Imagine a full-length story being condensed into less than 1,000 words. The author still has to develop the plot, characters and storyline and conclude—all under 1,000 words. The beauty of flash fiction is its ability to get “straight to the point” and carry you along with a story, but done in a bite sized amount of time. Let’s face it, time is valuable.

If you find yourself on the go, or you just want something quick, witty, serious, sad or sometimes even funny to read, then I encourage you to give this book a try. I feel strongly, and I hope you will too, when I say that the money was worth giving the book a chance. I believe that you will find these stories enjoyable and intriguing. There are over 40 stories! If you do not enjoy one, you are not stuck having to read a couple hundred pages, for those of you avid readers who do not like to stop books, choosing to follow through to the end. To those of you on the go, this is perfect for in between commercials, a lunch break, before bedtime, a bus ride—or anywhere you find yourself having a few extra minutes. Flash Fiction 40+1: New Mexican Bread Aisle, give it a try today!

Much Love,

-Volatalistic Phil
